Calling out to the grassroots of Manchester:

The Basement is a city centre hub for grassroots
campaigns and community organisations in Manchester.
In the daytime we are a vegan/organic cafe and
bookshop with an
exhibition space and free access to the Internet. In the evenings
the space is available to groups who need meeting
space, to host workshops or to put on events. For
underfunded user-groups we only ask for a small
donation for the space.

The space can hold up to 100 people.

We are in a basement (as the name suggests!) and are in
the process of implementing all the recommendations of
an extensive disabled access audit, but are currently
waiting for funding bids to come through to be fully
accessible.

The Basement is also a great space to network your
campaigns and projects so please pop down with your
flyers and posters too.
