1. Bob Day has undertaken to lead a Vigil at Roby Church Dickinson Road at 18.00-19.00 on TUESDAY- prayer inside / standing outside.
2. I am told that CND/Stop the War are holding an event at Piccadilly Gardens at 17,00 on Weds. to welcome Mr. Bush to the UK.
3. I propose to vigil at Holy Innocents' Church, Fallowfield, (on Wilbraham Rd., near to the Wilmslow Rd. cross roads) on THURSDAY night- with people outside at the crossroads with banners and wearing MPH tape sashes and people inside praying. Please come to whatever you feel you can, bringing candles / placards etc. if going outside, perhaps prayers and songs if inside.
The Eucharist is 18.30 for about half an hour, Bill (Rector) says people are welcome to that. The Chapel would then be available.
I PROPOSE HOLDING IT FROM 19.00-21.00.
It's not called slavery nowadays. It's called 'free' trade - a system that's causing millions of poor farmers to go bust and enslaving them in poverty.
If you agree poor countries should be allowed to protect their farmers then VOTE FOR TRADE JUSTICE here:
