Dear Network members,
 
Below is an outline to the June Network training opportunity.  As you
can see, there has been a change to the timing of the session.  It will
now be a half day session, and lunch will therefore not be provided.  We
will however provide refreshments.
 
               Simple habitat assessments for wild areas
 

                             22nd June 2005

                             12.30 – 3.30pm

                    Clayton Vale, Edge Lane, Clayton

 

12.30pm – 1.00pm  Intro to the day & simple habitat assessments

Outline of the day, talk on Biodiversity Strategy & key habitats

 1.00pm – 1.30pm    Intro to the Medlock Valley, Clayton Vale &
nurturing nature

                                    Jo Fraser & Vicky Eastmond from the
Medlock Valley Project setting the scene

 1.30pm – 3.30pm    Visits to three different habitats and SBI
(including a pond dip)

                                    Using a simple habitat assessment
form, identification forms and surveying equipment to assess the local
biodiversity
