[Earth Cafe]

Hello to everyone!

This is a brief news email for all those that have subscribed to hear about
Earth Cafe and the Environmental Sustainability Action Forum.

Two events coming up for your diaries;

*Sunday 25th July; 1-4pm; On Your Doorstep!*
A clearance and planting afternoon in a ginnel off St Albans Street,
supported by Action Earth and Morrisons.
Volunteers needed for a bit of light gardening and doubtless plenty of
conversation and tea.
Please wear appropriate clothing and if you have a couple of gardening tools
you can use, then please bring those, as we have a limited amount. Children
welcome as long as accompanied. This is very much starting at home for a
number of us that live in this area and will hopefully be the first of many.

*Sunday August 22nd; 1-4pm; Summer Harvest Picnic
Partnership House Garden, Sparrow Hill, Rochdale
*A celebration of our garden's produce and meeting of the forum. Bring a
picnic blanket or folding chair and some home made or home grown supplies
and share with your friends and neighbours. Anything from salad to spuds,
cakes to chutney.
Will include a raffle, games and picnic and an opportunity to report on the
progress made from the last forum meeting. Hope for sunshine, bring your
family, children and friends and involve as many as possible in
sustainability in the Borough.
We are also hoping that anyone that has an excess supply of something will
bring it along and donate it to help raise proceeds for the forum, so if you
have spare plants, chutney or cakes :) please consider contacting us in
advance so that we can set this up. Also anyone that wishes to donate prizes
for the raffle let us know!

We do hope to see many of you there and if you can attend please let us know
so we can plan for the numbers.
