heylo you lovely people come along to this please. you only have to do a
couple of hours with your mates, chat while doing it then walk 2 minutes
to the christmas market, get yourself some tasty homemade christmas food
and sit in the beer tent feeling all smug about how you've done a good
deed for the day. Volunteers Needed! Can you spare 2 hours on Saturday
15th December?
Can you pack a bag?
Do you want to help raise loads of money to help poor
communities around the world lift themselves out of poverty?
Do you want to wear a silly hat?
If the answer to any of those questions is YES call Becky Hurst on 01925
241 222 or email bhurst at christian-aid.org or just come with meeeeee! :)
Join us for bag packing in “Marks and Spencer” in the City Centre – its
fun, easy and will make a huge difference to Christian Aid partners this
Christmas! What you reckon? Please forward this to anyone else you think
might be up for it.

Bangladesh cyclone appeal – please make a donation or help raise awareness
in your area Christian Aid partners in Bangladesh are responding
immediately after one of the worst cyclones in over thirty years affected
millions in coastal regions. Thousands of people were killed, almost a
million homes destroyed or damaged, trees ripped up and an estimated
million acres of cropland were devastated on the evening of November 15th
as winds of up to 155 mph tore through 15 districts in the coastal region.
Out of the 15 districts, seven, (Bagerhat, Pathuakhali, Barguna, Pirojpur,
Jhalakhathi, Barisal and Bhola), were severely hit as 3-5 metre tidal
surges battered coastal towns and villages mainly in the south-west of the
country. Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced and over
50,000 people injured by flying debris and falling trees. Hundreds of
thousands of livestock also perished.Support our Bangladesh cyclone appeal

to support our partners’ emergency work but more money is urgently needed.
