SUST Fashion Show
A showcase of urban Eco and Ethical wear. The Bridgewater Hall, April
4th, 7-9pm.
Are you SUST when it comes to fashion? Sustainable Urban Styles Today is
a sustainable fashion event being run by Action for Sustainable Living,
a Manchester based non-profit 
organization. The show will include outfits from local designers,
fashion students, schools and community groups along with displays from
ethical retailers such as Howies, Enamore, Greenfibres and THTC.It will
be a chance to find out what options are available when it 
comes to sustainable fashion; fair trade, organic, reconditioned and
more… The garment categories are:
- Eco clothes: all alternative materials e.g. hemp, vegan, organic
cotton.
- Fair Trade: FT mark and ethical co-ops 
- Recycled clothes made from reconditioned material 
- Recycled clothes made from second hand garments
There will be a Clothing Amnesty at the event, in which all those
attending can donate old pieces of clothing and select 'brand new second
hand' items for themselves; plus a selection of stall's from eco/ethical
exhibitors and displays from local artists. Tickets are £5-10 (based on
