CN4M Diversity Action Group

You will be aware that the Network places inclusiveness, equality of
opportunity and diversity very high amongst its priorities. CN4M
commissioned Tung Sing Housing Association’s Equality and Diversity Unit
to
support the Network to achieve this priority. Work has already started
in
this area and CN4M’s Equality and Diversity Policy has been approved.

Part of the next phase of this important work, is the creation of a
Diversity Action Group to oversee the development, action and progress
of
the Policy.

The purpose of the group would be to:
¨       Ensure that the Network E&D policy meets the requirements
necessary
¨       Ensure that the Network surpasses all regulatory and legal
requirements
¨       Ensure that the Action/development plans are being delivered
¨       Hold the Network and its members accountable
¨       Support other CN4M members to embrace equality and diversity
¨       Provide innovative solutions to equality and diversity

Initially the group will meet quite regularly, Bi-monthly for the first
year, and then possibly quarterly thereafter. The Group will report
directly
to the Strategy group. Please be aware that this is an action group and
participants will be expected to carry out specific duties and actions
to
ensure that CN4M is putting ‘policy into practice’.

The first meeting of the Group is being held at the Green Fish Resource
Centre on Thursday 23rd February 2006
5pm-7pm
