Awards for All - £40 million underspent
>
>
> Awards for All have a huge underspend for this financial year and
> still need to allocate it by the end of March. Therefore if you have,
> or know of a community project that could do with £500 to £5,000 then
> this could be a good opportunity for them. For further details see

AWARDS FOR ALL:
COMMUNITY GROUPS ENCOURAGED
TO CASH IN ON AWARDS FOR ALL
Grants of £500 to £5,000 in Lottery money are still available for community projects
across England under the Awards for All programme and applications are being
encouraged for the £40 million remaining to be allocated this year.
Awards for All is actively encouraging groups, schools, health bodies, parish or town councils
with projects that support education, sport, the arts, heritage, health and the environment in their
community to apply for funding under this scheme.
Money is available now through a straightforward application process. Applicants will be advised
within eight weeks if they have been successful and information can be given to groups that are
unsure about their eligibility or how to apply.
The funds are allocated regionally to ensure that every area receives a portion of lottery funding.
Projects across England can apply at any time, but those in East Midlands, London, the North
East and North West are particularly encouraged to apply at this time to take up their allocation.
The small grants available through Awards for All have already made a huge difference in local
communities. Thousands of grants totalling more than £107 million have been awarded since the
programme was set up in 2000.
