Tuesday September 20th - 7pm
Public Meeting ; Human Rights, Human Wrongs - LGB Immigration.  The
Mechanics Institute, Princes Street, Manchester (entrance on Major
Street, opposite Cruz 101).  Organised by the Northwest TUC LGBT Group.
Speakers ; Moses Kayiza (refugee), Tony Openshaw (campaigner), Hermoine
McEwan (immigration laywer) and the Manchester Lesbian and Gay Choir.
"Imagine being stoned to death for being a lesbian, Imagine being
imprisoned for years because you are gay, Imagine then fleeing to this
country but having your lesbian or gay identity denied, Imagine being
sent back to face the persecution you fled from.  Hear what refugees say
about their experiences.  Find out what you can do to help.  Learn how
you might effect change".
